Chairman Patrick Reilly on Bello/McCann joining woke Anti-Trump Lawsuit

“The American people spoke loud and clear when they elected President Donald J. Trump in a decisive victory. They voted for his policies: to cut waste, end woke bureaucracy, and put taxpayers first. His Administration has been crystal clear that counties who insist on maintaining DEI Departments will lose critical federal funding that supports infrastructure, public safety, and essential services.

Instead of complying with federal law, County Executive Adam Bello, along with his Deputy, Jeff McCann, who is at the same time asking Greece voters to trust his judgment as their next Town Supervisor, are choosing to waste taxpayer dollars suing the Trump Administration in defense of a woke political bureaucracy.

Monroe County should not be gambling with critical federal funding to protect a DEI department the law now prohibits. The choice is simple: comply with federal policy and protect taxpayers, or waste resources on lawsuits that are likely doomed to fail, just as so many others against this Administration have been.

If scrapping the DEI Department is what it takes to safeguard Monroe County residents and protect critical funding, then that is exactly what Bello and McCann should do, not spend more taxpayer money on a lawsuit. Republicans stand with President Trump, the policies the American people voted for, and the hardworking taxpayers of Monroe County,” said Monroe County Republican Committee Chairman Patrick Reilly."

Dear Mr. Reilly and Republicans who condemned the protesters,

Given your irresponsible and irrational response condemning those who were outraged that a police force came without provocation, no warrants, no propable cause to apparently arrest two (darker skinned) men from Gautamala who were in the process of doing a dangerous job propably at low pay, a job that is not prefered by Americans. This enforcement was initiated because the president declared this an emergency. Apparently these emergencies occured only in states that did not vote for him. Of violent criminal activity in the top 20 cities 13 are in red states.

What these good citizens protesting were experiencing the imposition of fascism. This is why they protested.

Republican Double standards…
