ABOUT KALINDA
Kalinda is a lifelong Rochester-area resident and dedicated public servant with more than
twenty years of experience in education. Born in Rochester and raised in the Town of Perinton,
she is a proud graduate of Fairport High School. Kalinda earned a Bachelor of Arts in
Specialized Studies with a minor in Special Education from Edinboro University of
Pennsylvania, a Master’s degree in Inclusive Education from Nazareth University, and an
Education Specialist degree in Leadership and Administration from Walden University.
Kalinda has spent her career advocating for children, families, and educators. She brings fifteen
years of experience as a classroom teacher and five years in administrative leadership within
the childcare community, giving her firsthand knowledge of the challenges facing schools,
working families, and childcare providers. Her professional background equips her to fight for
practical, effective solutions that strengthen education from early childhood through graduation.
As a parent of two daughters, Kalinda understands the pressures families face and believes
parents must be empowered as partners in their children’s education. She is running for New
York State Assembly in the 135th District to ensure families have real choices, schools have the
resources they need to succeed, and communities are supported, not overburdened.
Kalinda’s priorities include expanding school choice, lowering property taxes to keep families in
their homes, and strengthening the childcare system so parents can work knowing their children
are safe, supported, and learning. She is committed to leadership that listens, collaborates, and
delivers results for the district.
